Get to know Pamzy
Pamzy is an award-winning dance instructor, choreographer and performer from Cameroon, celebrated for her versatility and dynamic artistry. With over a decade of experience, she has toured several African countries, including Ghana, Nigeria, Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon and Togo, where she performed and served as a judge at prestigious events and competitions.
Her journey in dance began at the tender age of two and by five, she won her first competition in Limbe, Cameroon. In 2015, Pamzy turned professional and founded Kamer Great Dancers, an all-female dance group that gained national and international recognition, performing with top Cameroonian artists and winning the Best Dance Crew Award at the 2018 Ngea Awards in the USA.
In 2020, she moved to Ghana to deepen her knowledge of Afrobeat and other African dance forms and in 2022, she relocated to Finland. Since then, she has graced prominent stages, including opening performances for global Afrobeat stars Ruger and Ayra Starr.
Pamzy’s expertise encompasses a wide range of styles, including Afrobeat, Ndombolo, Amapiano, Makossa, Bikutsi, Mbole, Azonto, and Afrofusion “a blend of traditional and contemporary African dance forms”. She is deeply passionate about sharing African culture through dance and currently teaches Afro dance in schools and studios across Finland.
This year marks Pamzy’s 10th anniversary as a professional dancer. A milestone that reflects her dedication, impact and continuous growth in the global dance community.
